Important Information & Requirements:

  • Fitness Level: This camp is designed for active runners with previous experience in trail or road running. Daily distances range from 10 km to 20 km on technical and varying terrain.
  • Weather Conditions: January, February, and March offer ideal, cool performance weather on the coast (14°C to 20°C), but mountain zones drop significantly, sometimes reaching below 0°C. Be prepared for rapid microclimate changes.
  • Layering Rule (Clothing): Participants must follow the 3-layer rule: a high-quality thermal base layer, an insulating mid-layer, and a reliable windproof/rainproof shell jacket.
  • Required Footwear: Technical trail running shoes with excellent grip are strictly required due to steep, rocky, and potentially damp or slippery stone surfaces. Standard road running shoes are not suitable.
  • Nutrition & Safety: While S4H provides mobile hydration and endurance nutrition stations every 7–10 km, we highly recommend carrying a personal hydration pack or vest (minimum 1L capacity).

      Outer: Windproof and waterproof shell jacket (essential for mountain passes).
    • Running Pack / Vest: A personal hydration vest or pack (minimum 1L fluid capacity recommended).
    • Headwear & Accessories: Running gloves, a warm beanie or headband, and a buff.
    • Sun & Skin Protection: UV-blocking sunglasses, high SPF sunscreen, and lip balm.
    • Swimwear: For the beach gatherings in Çıralı or lodge pool/spa sessions.
